Our Niche: Serving youth who are in situations where they need to be heard, valued, loved, by using art to help them know their self-worth.
ArtReach Orlando (ARO) provides art programs for children experiencing difficult economic and social situations who may not have access to the arts. Through the creative process, we are exploring the link between art, social justice, and the healing process. Some of the children we work with are experiencing profound issues, such as adverse childhood experiences in their lives. Through art and self-expression, children can safely explore these issues and create personal solutions that enhance their self-worth and emotional resilience.
ArtReach Orlando is a 501c (3), non-profit organization founded in 2012. ArtReach Orlando supports collaborative art projects between teachers, schools, organizations and local artists with the emphasis on child services. We offer high quality visual art programming, often combined with other art forms, to children and teens, supported by an outstanding team of teaching artists, and proven partnerships with Orange County Public Schools and other community partners.
ArtReach Orlando was founded to enrich the lives of youth through the healing process of art. Our programs provide an opportunity to work with children in a manner that strengthens a child’s sense of self-worth and community engagement. We serve youth who need to be heard, valued and loved. In fostering their creativity, we are encouraging and empowering children to imagine the positive changes they wish to see in their own lives, their communities, and the world.
