Students will be guided through the steps of creating their own stop-motion animated movie! We'll explore a variety of materials including paper, clay, and fabric to create characters, props, backdrops, and set pieces to bring our stories to life.
Students will learn the fundamentals of script writing through character development and storyboarding. We will use digital tools to film and enhance our storytelling skills by incorporating green-screens, voiceover, and sound effects. Digital drawing and painting may be added along the way to support our creative visions!
Through basic editing techniques, we'll learn to refine our final animations. The class will culminate with a sharing of student stop-motion animations for our peers and families. This class will include a special field trip to visit our neighbors at EA - Electronic Arts!
