ARTISTS IN WONDERSTUDIO SATURDAYS

If you love experimenting, mixing materials, and transforming everyday objects into art, this creative adventure is for you! In Artists in WonderStudio: Mixed-Media, students dive into the exciting world of unconventional art-making where recycling becomes reimagining, and rules are simply starting points.

Over eight inspiring Saturdays, young artists will collage with paint, ink with watercolors, print with chalk, and blend clay with canvas. They’ll explore vibrant combinations of textures, layers, and forms while cutting, gluing, painting, layering, and building expressive works in both two and three dimensions. Along the way, students discover how mixed-media techniques can spark imagination and help them see the world around them in surprising new ways.

A highlight of the program includes a special workshop with guest artist Marlene London of McRae Art Studios, who will share her playful, openhearted approach to the creative process and encourage students to explore freely. Come create art that surprises, inspires, and opens the door to endless possibilities.
