ART-ivist: Where Art Meets Activism

"THIS PROGRAM HELPED ME FEEL LESS SHY, MORE CONFIDENT, AND UNDERSTAND THE TRUE MEANING OF ART."

                                               - Artivist Participant, Age 11

ArtReach Orlando believes in the importance of co-creating knowledge and inspiring independent and creative young people. In partnership with Hope CommUnity Center, this summer camp and afterschool program engages middle school students in theatre, movement, and visual art to explore the ways creativity relates to community and leadership.

ArtReach Orlando is thrilled to partner once again with Hope CommUnity Center!

In 2013, ArtReach Orlando partnered with Hope CommUnity Center in Apopka and local artist Janis Nunez to create a community mosaic mural using found objects and donated materials. The “Hope Rising” mural shares and celebrates the stories of Central Florida's immigrant and working poor communities. We are so excited to be back at Hope and look forward to continuing to build community and inspiring youth through our arts programming!
